Catholic Schools Week 2019, a weeklong annual celebration of Catholic education, was a success for all of us! The week kicked off Sunday, Jan. 27, with Mass followed by a pizza party and an open house of the school. On Monday, the students wore crazy socks, competed in a spelling bee and were treated to ice cream. On Tuesday, the SSPP Student Council expressed gratitude to our many volunteers by serving them donuts, juice and coffee following Mass. Also, the children wore St. Louis Blues gear and/or blue shirts for our special afternoon assembly featuring the St. Louis Blues’ mascot, Louie. We ended up with a snow day on Wednesday but picked up on Thursday with Class Olympics, where students participated in a variety of sports activities. Friday was Fancy Day, where students dressed up in their best, surprised teachers with a beautiful prayer service and also participated in a game of Catholic Trivia. CSW ended on a high note with a sold-out crowd at Glo-Bingo on Friday, Feb. 1.

The students enjoyed each day. Many thanks to the faculty for being so flexible in their scheduling, to the parents who helped with different events and to Student Council and Ms. Reinhardt for doing an outstanding job on the Class Olympics.
