A note from our SSPP Confirmation Class of 2015 who were confirmed Saturday April 11, 2015 during the 4:30pm Mass.
We owe many thanks to so many people for their dedication to & support of our faith formation…
To Bishop Paprocki, Fr. John Beveridge, Fr. Brian Alford, Fr. Steven Arisman, Deacon Jim Hill and Deacon Adam Prichard your strong examples of faith inspiring us to become the best version and God’s vision of ourselves, God’s vision
To our guardians, parents, grandparents, family, friends and sponsors your willingness to encourage and support us fills our hearts with endless thanks and deepest gratitude.
To our catechists, teachers, Day School, PSR & Parish Staff, your hard work does not go unnoticed and is deeply appreciated. You are our examples of living faith.
To our Parish Family, the Music Ministry, Hospitality Committee, Environment Committee and Knights of Columbus your dedication and self-sacrifice makes SSPP our spiritual home and we look forward to following your example of serving God and others as we step into bigger roles in our parish and the world!
Our prayer and hopes for you is the same for ourselves, that we may light the path to Jesus our Savior for others and ourselves. Together, in times of struggle and moments of joy may we remember our Confirmation Class motto, “For I know well the plans I have in mind for you, says the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” – Jeremiah 29:11 NABRE
Blessings & Thanks in the Divine Mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ,
SSPP Confirmation Class of 2015
Baptism, Holy Communion, and Confirmation are the Sacraments of Initiation in the Roman Catholic Church. The white Confirmation robes of the Candidates recall their Baptismal garment. Both the Baptismal garment and Confirmation robe are symbols of their new life in the Light of Christ anointed as a child of God.
The Confirmation Class of 2015 is the first to be returning to the long Church and SSPP tradition of wearing Confirmation robes. The new robes were donated by a parishioner in memory of the Confirmation Class of 2015 in honor of their earnest preparation and dedication to their lifelong faith formation.
