Campaign Prayer Vigil

Please join us for the Campaign Prayer Vigil on Sunday, December 4.  Adoration will begin at 12:00 pm and lasts until 6:30 pm.  The Vigil (6:30 pm – 7:30 pm) is next with readings and songs.  Refreshments in Morris Hall will follow the Vigil. Parish Welcomes Community to “Almost Free” Yard Sale

On October 15 our parish welcomed hundreds of local residents to our first “Almost Free Yard Sale.”  In addition to being able to shop for mostly free items, more than 225 people were also treated to a hot breakfast and donated pastries. The cafeteria was packed with men’s, women’s and children’s clothing, shoes and accessories thanks to the generous response of parishioners to “Let It Go.”  About 425 bags of items were donated! “We were overwhelmed by the generous response of the parish in donating their gently used and never used clothing and other items,” says Marty Wiegers, co-chair...

Parish Celebrates Father John’s 70th Birthday

The Parish celebrated Father John’s Birthday with the presentation of a framed print of the Adoration of the Maji by Italian artist Gentile da Fabriano and a special blessing at 4:30 pm Mass on September 10.  It was followed by a reception in Morris Hall.  Father was greeted  with “Father John Fans” and an overflow crowd.  The Parish Staff provided a buffet and cake. Missionary Asks Us to Join in Healing Rwanda Wounds

On the weekend of August 27-28 missionary Father Denis Kiyenje visited our parish and asked us to join him in the Church’s mission in Rwanda—to help rebuild the country through forgiveness, reconciliation and love. In addition to sharing our financial resources, he asked for our ongoing prayers to help heal the deep wounds left by the killing over of one million Rwandans in 1994. Although it has been more than 20 years, Father Denis says the wounds are deep. “Rwanda is challenged still today.  It is hard to forgive.  But the Church is trying to uplift the whole country.” He...
